Is the calendar really free?

Yes. The board, bookings, guests, stats, housekeeping, backup and exports are free forever — no per-room pricing, no ads. Premium adds Booking.com & Airbnb import, a link that shows them your booked nights, sync across iPhone, iPad and Mac, multiple buildings and calendar sharing — with a 14-day free trial.

Do I need an account?

No. There is nothing to sign up for — every booking lives on your device. Premium sync uses your own iCloud; we never see your data.

Does it work offline?

Fully. The calendar needs no signal at all — in the doorway, in the basement, in the mountains. Only iCloud sync and calendar import touch the network.

Can I see my Booking.com or Airbnb reservations?

Yes — paste the calendar (iCal) link from your listing and those bookings appear on the board, read-only, refreshed in the background even when the app is closed, with an optional notification the moment a new booking arrives (Premium). Exporting your own calendar as an .ics file is free.

Can Booking.com or Airbnb see the bookings I enter in InnGrid?

Yes, with Premium. In Settings → Calendar sync → “From InnGrid to booking sites”, each room gets its own calendar link — paste it into Booking.com, Airbnb or Holidu and the site checks it on its own schedule, usually every few hours, not instantly. It sees only which nights are taken — the word “Reserved” — never guest names. The link lives in your own iCloud, not on our servers. Step by step, with pictures →

I run more than one building.

Premium lets you add buildings and see every villa’s rooms on one board, grouped under its name — and the housekeeping list covers them all.

Can I track day guests who don’t stay overnight (breakfast, day care)?

Yes — that is exactly what day stays are for. In the booking form, turn on the “Day stay” toggle: the check-out row disappears and the entry fills exactly one day on the board, never touching the neighbouring days — unlike an overnight booking, whose bar runs from noon to noon by hotel convention. Several day stays can share one room on the same day, each as its own named bar. If most of your entries are same-day, turn on Settings → Same-day stays → “Day stays by default”; a day guest returning all week can be entered as a range — one entry per day, saved together and drawn as a single bar with the name shown once. There is no per-day guest counter yet — hosts put the number in the entry’s name (e.g. “Breakfast – 8 guests”). If what you serve is breakfast to guests who are already staying, you don’t need a day stay at all — mark Meals on their booking and the Day plan tab counts them under “Kitchen today”.

How does sync between iPhone, iPad and Mac work?

Premium sync runs through your own iCloud: sign in with the same Apple Account on each device, and a booking added on your phone shows up on your Mac within seconds. For a co-host with a different Apple Account, use calendar sharing — see the next question.

How does calendar sharing work?

Each building’s calendar can be shared separately (Premium). In Settings → Calendar sharing, pick a building, add a participant by the e-mail address or phone number of their Apple Account, and choose what they may do — view, or view and edit. Then send them the calendar link. They open it on an iPhone, iPad or Mac with the free InnGrid installed (no InnGrid? the link routes to the App Store), and your calendar appears under “Shared with you” — on their own account, at no cost to them. Edits show up on both boards within moments while the app is open, and the housekeeping list covers shared calendars too. You can change a participant’s access or stop sharing at any time.

Good to know: the link works only for people you added first. If it arrives from a number that isn’t in the recipient’s contacts, iOS may show it as non-tappable — adding the sender to Contacts fixes that. There is no web version, so a participant needs an Apple device — Android or a PC browser won’t work.

Cleaning is a separate, narrower link: “Invite staff” gives that person only the rooms of one building and what needs doing there — your bookings, guest names and prices never reach their device — and they tick a room off with one tap.

Can someone without an iPhone see my bookings?

Yes. Google Sheet (Premium, part of calendar sharing): InnGrid keeps your bookings in a spreadsheet on your own Google Drive and updates it after every change — for a partner without an iPhone. Add a separate sheet for whoever cleans (no names, no prices) or for the kitchen (meals for each day). The people you share it with can view it, not change it. Settings → Google Sheet.

Does it work with Google Calendar?

Yes, both ways. To see Google Calendar events in InnGrid, paste your Google calendar’s secret iCal address (Google Calendar → Settings → your calendar → “Secret address in iCal format”) into Calendar sync (Premium) — the same import that handles Booking.com and Airbnb. One honest limitation: recurring events import as a single entry (the first occurrence). To go the other way, export your InnGrid calendar as an .ics file (free) and import it into Google Calendar.

Can I get my data out?

Always, and for free: export an InnGrid data backup that you can import and merge later, a CSV file for spreadsheets, and an .ics calendar file — per room or for a whole building. Import such a file back and every booking lands in its own room. External OTA bookings return when their feeds sync again. Your bookings are never held hostage.

Which languages and devices?

English, Polish, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, Brazilian Portuguese, Dutch, Czech, Slovak, Ukrainian, Greek, Russian, Indonesian, Japanese, Turkish, Hungarian, Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, Traditional Chinese, Vietnamese and Croatian — on iPhone and iPad (iOS 17 or later), and on Apple Silicon Macs (the same app from the Mac App Store, in a freely resizable window).

How do I change the app's language?

InnGrid speaks your iPhone’s language. To set it separately, open the iOS Settings app, find InnGrid in the list of apps and tap Preferred Language. Handy when your phone is in one language and you would rather keep the calendar in another — or when you want to check how the app reads for your staff.

How do I reach support?

E-mail [email protected] — questions, ideas and bug reports are all welcome. For sync questions it helps to attach the report from Settings → Help → “Copy diagnostics” (it contains counts and versions, never guest data).
